My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charles......Prince Charles!! Our beautiful flame point Siamese.
With his creamy coat, soft apricot points, and soulful blue eyes, he's truly a breathtaking cat. Though he's currently very shy, he is incredibly friendly at heart and just needs time to feel safe.

He is gentle in every sense of the word-quiet, kind, and thoughtful. Once he trusts you, his sweet and loving nature begins to shine. He would do best in a calm, patient home where he can learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all.

He's looking for a peaceful environment with no young children or dogs, but other cats are just fine and may even help him feel more secure. A quiet household that respects his need to move at his own pace will allow this majestic boy to truly blossom.

If you have a soft spot for shy souls and believe in the beauty of earning a cat's trust, this gentle flame point may be the perfect companion for you. 🐾✨

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
