My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elliot is an adorable Chiweenie who was just brought to us as an injured stray. Despite his troubles, he`s been nothing but calm, sweet, and friendly.

Elliot has an injured back left leg - we`re not sure if it`s a soft issue injury, a fracture, or a joint injury - it`s something our medical team is still evaluating. He also has some puncture wounds on his left rear foot, and came in underweight.

Due to his medical needs Elliot is currently available for rescues only. Please let us know if you’re a rescue that can help him!

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.

We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
