Bella, where have you been, loca?! She is one beautiful terrier girl with a BIG heart and even bigger brown eyes! She came to us as an owner surrender, but she was originally found by them as a stray! But sadly, her owner could no longer care for her, so thankfully Bella is safe with us and ready to find her forever home! Long-legged Bella really seems to be more comfortable around women at the moment, but it may take her some time to feel comfortable around men (She may just prefer a female as her person). She has a soft and scraggly coat, that will most definitely require grooming on occasion. And she has such a sweet disposition, and has let us trim her coat and her nails, so grooming her should be a breeze! She does well on lite walks, but may need time to adjust to her new surroundings. She also seems to get along well with easy-going dogs, so if you have another dog, we recommend bringing them along to meet. Bella is a terrific terrier lapdog, and she is patiently waiting to start the next chapter in her life, where she`ll be pampered and loved the way she deserves. Bella hopes it`ll be her happily ever after! Bella is at our Cottonwood Mall location! Going to the Dogs (& Cats) Resale Shop & Adoption Center Cottonwood Mall (2nd Level next to MOR Furniture) 10000 Coors Bypass NW ABQ NM 87114 505-867-5347 Mon-Sat 11-5pm. Sun 12-5pm (adoptions until 4pm)

More about this shelter
Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
