Meet Cowboy — the Sweetest Little Lab Mix in the West! Cowboy may only be 2 months old, but this tiny Lab mix already has the heart of a true gentleman and the spirit of a playful adventurer. He wandered into the shelter as a stray, but he’s been living it up in foster care for the past few weeks — learning that life is full of good things like toys, treats, and snuggles.
Personality & Skills Cowboy’s foster family describes him as: •Playful — he’s always ready for a game or a romp •A super quick learner — already mastering “sit” and “lay down” •Cuddly — he believes snuggling time is just as important as playtime •Gentle and respectful — especially with the two children in the home (ages 7 and 1.5), whom he adores
What Makes Cowboy Special This little guy has the perfect mix of puppy energy and soft-hearted sweetness. He’s curious, eager to please, and soaking up every bit of love and training his foster family gives him. Cowboy is well on his way to becoming a wonderfully well-rounded companion. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate pup who will grow up to be your loyal sidekick, Cowboy is ready to ride off into the sunset with you.

Adoptions by Appointment
We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. In most cases, animals are eligible to go home right away, so be prepared for your new animal to leave with you.
- Potential adopters complete an online adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet .
- If approved, adopters can then interact with the animal they wish to adopt. It is best for all members of the household to meet the animal prior to going home. Note: Shelter staff reserve the right to deny any adoption if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animal.
- Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.
- Adopters must be 18 years or older, and have valid drivers license or photo identification.
- Pet licenses are required for dogs and cats in the City of Everett and unincorporated Snohomish County.
- The adoption fee must be paid at the time of adoption. We accept Visa, Mastercard or cash. We are unable to accept checks for payment of fees or services.
