My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jum Chumopolis — yes, that is her government name, and yes, she fully expects you to say the whole thing.

Jum Chumopolis is the definition of go with the flow. She’s chill in the way that makes you wonder if she secretly does yoga when no one is looking. Loud noise? She blinks. New people? She stretches and says, “Ah yes, more admirers.” She has absolutely mastered the art of relaxed living.

This lovely lady is friendly from the start and affectionate without being clingy. She’ll happily greet you, accept pets like royalty receiving tribute, and then flop over dramatically to request more. Jum Chumopolis is the kind of cat who makes herself at home in approximately 12 seconds and then acts like you’re the guest.

Her hobbies include:
• Lounging like a tiny queen on soft blankets
• Slow blinking at everyone in the room
• Politely inserting herself into cuddle sessions
• Existing beautifully in any available sunbeam

She’s affectionate, easygoing, and just genuinely pleasant to be around. Not overly demanding, not shy, not chaotic — just a sweet, steady companion who fits into a home like she’s always been there. Jum Chumopolis doesn’t need to steal the spotlight… she simply is the spotlight, softly glowing from the comfiest spot on the couch.

If you’re looking for a cat who will bring peace, purrs, and a whole lot of charm into your life, Jum Chumopolis is ready to gracefully claim her throne in your living room.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
