Meet Natasha – A Resilient Little Shadow Looking for Her Forever Home
Natasha is a petite, shorthaired black beauty with a story that would melt anyone’s heart. Originally surrendered when her elderly owner entered a nursing home, Natasha came to us bonded with her brother, Boris. The pair were adopted together; but sadly, the situation they entered was unsafe. During that time, Natasha became lost and spent two terrifying weeks alone, hungry, anxious, and struggling to survive.
While Boris was quickly found, Natasha returned shaken and underweight. The trauma she endured left her with attachment and anxiety issues, and she copes by wanting to be as close as possible to her foster mom, often literally on top of her. She now tolerates Boris but is no longer bonded to him; the experience has made her more comfortable as an only pet.
Despite everything she has been through, Natasha’s capacity for love is enormous. She just needs someone patient enough to help her trust the world again.
Natasha Would Thrive With:
What Makes Her Special
Natasha is deeply affectionate once she feels safe. She wants to be close—your warm lap, your chest, your shoulder—wherever she can feel secure. Her journey has made her sensitive, but also incredibly loving. With the right person, she will blossom into an adoring, loyal companion.
