Oh Simba… this boy has a story that tugs at your heart. 💛
Simba is a gorgeous, big orange sweetheart who was heartbreakingly left behind when his owner moved away. Somehow, Simba was forgotten in the home and wasn’t discovered until five days later when the landlord came to begin work on the house. Thankfully, they reached out to Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR, and we were able to step in and give this boy the second chance he so deeply deserves.
He should have never been left behind. Ever.
Despite it all, Simba still loves attention. Once he realizes you’re there to love him, he melts. He’ll stretch out long for belly pets and become your best buddy in no time. He wants connection — he just needs to feel safe first.
We don’t believe he’s always had the best care, and his “language” reflects that a bit. Simba sometimes gives a little growl — but it’s not aggression at all. It’s more like his way of talking, of expressing himself. He just needs someone who understands that cats communicate in different ways and that trust takes a little patience.
We are hoping to find that special person — someone who truly wants to rescue a cat who needs love, someone who understands cat language, someone willing to change Simba’s life forever.
