Meet Gerdie! Gerdie recently strutted into our shelter as a transfer from another facility, and she’s already stolen everyone’s heart (and a few laps). This girl is a certified sweetheart with one very serious hobby: getting pet. All the pets. Forever.
Gerdie has a slight limp from an old injury, but don’t worry—it doesn’t slow her down at all. She still gets where she’s going, especially if “where she’s going” is toward a human with free hands.

People can visit our adoptable pets at our adoption center on Amelia Island at 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034. We are open Tuesday - Thursday 11 am - 5 pm, Friday 11 am - 6 pm, and Saturday - Sunday 11 am - 4 pm. Showings stop 30 minutes before close.
