My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet BK: Your Local Night-Owl & Puree Enthusiast

Looking for a sleek, sophisticated house panther who’s also a total sweetheart? Meet BK, a 2 year old black cat with a heart of gold and a very busy nightly schedule.

BK is the ultimate gentleman. He is incredibly patient with his human friends and has a zero aggression policy (no hissing, scratching, or biting here!) He’s the kind of cat who takes life in stride, as long as he has two things: a big window to watch the world go by and a steady supply of puree treats (his absolute favorite).

The BK Experience:

The Midnight Podcast: BK is quite the conversationalist. He loves to run around at night and have full "discussions" with his toys. If you’re looking for a roommate with great stories, he’s your guy.

Gentle Soul: His temperament is top tier. He’s remarkably patient and kind with every person he meets.

Dog Policy: BK is a fan of the "little guys." He does well with small dogs, but large dogs are a bit too much for his vibe. He’d definitely prefer a home without big canine roommates.

If you have a sunny window and a pack of squeeze treats ready to go, BK might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to eliminate the euthanasia of companion animals in Galveston County by promoting and providing resources, education, and programs to transform animal welfare in our communities.

What makes us different is we were created to not just help animals, but people too. We realize that animals and people are very much interconnected, and a big part of our organization is outreach.
