Take the Pet Home
This helps Loved At Last Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi, I’m Hari! Here is some information about me:
Breed: Jindo mix
Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Weight: 38 lb Height: 21 inches
Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, affectionate, happy
For a few months, I was doing my best to survive on the streets, but in October 2024 my life changed when kind humans rescued me. Since then, I’ve learned what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for. I spent time in a foster home with other dogs and cats, and now I’m staying in a dog hotel with lots of canine friends while I wait for my forever family.
I’m truly a people dog. I absolutely love human attention, cuddles, and being close to my people. I’m very affectionate and gentle, including with kids. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, I might be your guy!
I’ve lived with many dogs and I’m polite and friendly when meeting new ones. I’m not always the first to start playtime, but if I find the right buddy, I do enjoy a good wrestle now and then. My heart, though, really belongs to humans more than dogs.
I’ve also lived with cats and I’m good at giving them space at home. On walks, I might get curious about small animals or birds and try to chase a little — I’m just being a dog!
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy going on walks, exploring new smells, and having outdoor time, but I’m also very happy to relax and be calm at home afterward. I’m curious on leash and may pull a bit, but I’m pretty good at following my handler. I’m also great with car rides — no car sickness here!
I’m crate-trained and about 90% house-trained. I rarely bark, I don’t try to escape, and I haven’t shown any aggression. I don’t guard my food from people, though I may growl if other dogs get too close while I’m eating.
I don’t show signs of separation anxiety, but because I love people so much, it will be important for my future family to help me keep a healthy balance so I don’t become too dependent.
If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, people-focused companion who’s ready to give you his whole heart, I can’t wait to meet you.
— Love, Hari

Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.
Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.
Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.
Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.
Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.

As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
