Brylee is a stunning 9-month-old purebred Golden Retriever with a gentle soul and a heart that is learning how to trust again. Currently weighing about 43 pounds, she is expected to mature into a beautiful 50-pound adult. Her journey hasn’t been an easy one — she was left behind at a small Tennessee shelter when her breeder no longer had use for her. In that loud, unfamiliar environment, Brylee shut down completely, overwhelmed and frightened.
Everything changed once she found her way into a loving foster home. Surrounded by kindness, patience, and canine friends, Brylee has begun to blossom. She now enjoys playing with her foster dog buddies, soaking up affection from her foster mom, and discovering how wonderful life can be when love is freely given. Watching her come out of her shell has been nothing short of beautiful.
Brylee walks well on a leash but will benefit from continued practice, as she had little exposure before. She is crate trained, though she strongly dislikes being crated, so we are seeking a home where someone is present much of the day — not one where she would be left alone for long work hours. A safely fenced yard is a must so she can run, play, and enjoy the freedom every young Golden deserves.
This girl’s Golden personality is ready to shine in an active home that enjoys walks, hikes, adventures, and making memories together. She would be a wonderful walking, running, or hiking partner and will quickly become your loyal shadow and best friend. Brylee does show a strong interest in cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. She does wonderfully with other dogs, children, and adults.
Brylee is fostered in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeastern corridor — we transport every weekend. If you feel your home could be the loving, guided forever family she deserves, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive. Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
