My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tootsie Roll!

This adorable Terrier Mix came to ARC from LaBelle Animal Control due to lack of space. While here, sweet Tootsie Roll showed just how incredible she is by raising 11 puppies! Now that her babies are growing up, it’s finally her turn to be the one who gets all the love.

Tootsie Roll is super playful and full of personality, but she also enjoys cuddling up for some quality lap time. With her joyful spirit and loving heart, she’s guaranteed to bring happiness into any home.

Complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet this amazing girl today — she’s ready for her forever family.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
