This animal’s daily routine: Veggies in the morning, afternoon treats, veggies at dinner time and fresh hay, pellets and supplements at bed time.
BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): No, unsure if he is bondable
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cat, Dog - Did not seem to care. Bonding was previously attempted with another guinea pig but the other guinea pig was overly dominant.
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes - he was great with school-age children
Health concerns: Edwin has had an eye surgically removed before entering our care for an unknown reason.
Behavioral concerns: None
Edwin came to MNPPR as a transfer from another rescue.
Other Notes: He is a one-eyed fella who takes some time to get used to his environment and people, but once he does he is amazing!
Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Petsmart - 299 12th St SW, Forest Lake, MN 55025 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

MN Pocket Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization primarily serving the Twin Cities Metro Area, focusing on education and public outreach. Our intent is to keep all animals in their homes, with their families, whenever possible. We are committed to rescuing those pocket pets that are in jeopardy of being euthanized or are in danger of being abused, left unattended or in other types of vulnerable situations. We ensure all animals receive proper veterinary care, medication and special training for any behavioral issues, as well as to arrange safe, temporary homes for these animals until stable forever homes can be found. Our team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who work passionately to serve the underrepresented and often misunderstood niche of pocket pets in the overall rescue community and general public.
