Here's what the humans have to say about me:
As sweet as her name implies, meet Farawla (which means `strawberry` in Arabic)! Although she can be a bit shy when you first meet her, if you go slow, it won`t take long before her curious side gets the better of her and she comes over to see what you`re up to. Farawla is a lover of pets, playtime, and ever-so-yummy wet food! She has also lived with other cats before so may do well with another feline friend in the home. But just like strawberries, sometimes she can be a bit tart when it comes to things that stress her out, like strange new situations, loud scary noises, or invasive handling. Because of this, it`s recommended that her new family has older children that are able to read her body language! She`s fresh for the picking, so come learn more about Farawla today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
