My name is Lacy!

Lacey is a 10-year-old Border Collie/Beagle mix with the softest soul and the most devoted heart. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and happiest when she’s right by her people’s side—quietly following along, just wanting to be included.

She definitely inherited the beagle nose, so fair warning: trash cans should stay secured But beyond that little quirk, Lacey is an easy, peaceful companion. She does fine with other dogs but doesn’t rely on them for companionship—people are her favorite, and that’s all she really needs.

Lacey loves the outdoors, especially cooler or cold weather. She would be thrilled with daily walks, time outside with her humans, and simply being able to enjoy fresh air—something she hasn’t had much of in her life so far. Her previous world was very small, and while she was deeply loved, her owners became bedbound and could no longer meet her needs. Letting her go was an act of love, and now Lacey is ready for a new chapter.

She has Cushing’s disease, diagnosed a few months ago, and would benefit from activity, weight loss, and consistent care. More than anything, she needs someone who will give her time, affection, and companionship.

Lacey isn’t demanding. She doesn’t need chaos or excitement—just a kind person, a steady routine, and love. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, calm companionship, and a quiet presence that makes a house feel like home.
