Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi… I’m Georgie - Lap size perfection!
I might be a little quiet at first, but once I know you’re my person, I’m all heart.
I’m a 1-year-old Heeler mix, weighing in at 39 pounds, which I hear is the just right size for walking, cuddling, and fitting perfectly into your life. I’ve been an indoor/outdoor guy, so I’m still learning the ropes of being a full-time house dog. That just means I’ll need frequent potty breaks while I figure things out, and I promise I’ll try my very best.
I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Underneath that gentle hesitation is the sweetest boy you’ll ever know. I love long walks, taking in all the sights and smells, and when we get home? That’s when I cash in on lots and lots of belly rubs. Consider that part non-negotiable.
I seem to do well with other dogs, though I’d love a meet and greet to make sure we’re all friends. I’ve also lived with cats before, so I’m familiar with sharing space with the mysterious whiskered roommates.
If you’re looking for a tender-hearted, gentle soul who just wants patience, kindness, and a whole lot of love, I might be your Georgie. I’m ready when you are.
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
