Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. It’s me. Boogey. Yes, that Boogey. The one with the good looks, busy feet, and a heart that runs on treats and praise.
I’m a 2-year-old male Heeler mix, which means I’m smart, sporty, and occasionally convinced I’m in charge of neighborhood patrol. I’ve done the indoor/outdoor life, so as I level up to full-time house dog, I’ll need frequent potty breaks while I learn the new routine. I promise I’m trying. Please clap when I succeed.
I’m the perfect blend of sweet and active. I love my walks, I love moving my legs, and I especially love snow. If there’s snow on the ground, I will personally inspect every single flake for quality control. ❄️
Other dogs? I’m pretty sure they’re cool, but I’d like a proper meet & greet first so we can sniff, assess, and decide if we’re going to be besties or just polite coworkers. I’ve lived around cats too, but I’ll need a slow introduction because tiny roommates deserve respect… and also because I get curious.
If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up on adventures, cuddle after, and make your life just a little more entertaining, congratulations. You found me.
Love,
Boogey
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
