Dottie is a petite little gal with the sweetest "cool old lady" soul... even though she's not old at all. She has that calm, gentle, easy-going energy that makes you feel at ease the second you meet her - like a deep exhale in dog form.
Everyone who meets Dottie LOVES her - and for good reason. She's a total staff favorite and has a way of winning over even the toughest of hearts without even trying. She doesn't rush to the spotlight, but somehow becomes it anyway.
She's sweet as pie, doesn't mind other dogs, and if you stop by her kennel, she'll greet you quietly and politely like a little lady waiting for her tea date.

Adoption viewing hours are from 8:00an-4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 12pm-2pm. You must have a valid drivers license to apply. We do not do home checks. Adoption fees are $35 for dogs/pups, $25 cats/kittens and $150 for horses.
Effective Monday, August 17,2015, LAFAYETTE ANIMAL SHELTER & CARE CENTER will begin accepting VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER credit cards. There will be a 2.5% surcharge/convenience fee added to your total. This fee is not greater than our cost of acceptance.
Adoption viewing hours are from 8:00an-4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 12pm-2pm. You must have a valid drivers license to apply. We do not do home checks. Adoption fees are $35 for dogs/pups, $25 cats/kittens and $150 for horses.
