My Story Started on a Freezing Morning…
Just after Thanksgiving, I was found only days old, left in a basket on the side of the highway during a brutal cold snap. I was tiny, fragile, and needed help to survive. I became a round-the-clock bottle baby, fed every few hours by my foster mom until I was strong enough to eat on my own. From icy pavement to warm cuddles, I’ve come a long way! ❄️🍼

I’m a happy, thriving, typical puppy who loves life and is ready to find my forever home! I love being outside, where I can investigate all the things and then run back to report my discoveries to my foster mom (very important puppy business 🐾).

⏳ Like all puppies, I’ll need patience, consistency, and continued training. My perfect home will understand that puppyhood is a journey and be willing to put the time in while I’m young.

Approve Application
This may take a couple days if completed online or during the event if completed in person.

Interview
A rescue member will give you a call to give more info about the dog and make sure it will be a good fit. If so, then will plan a meeting.
4.
Meet the Pet
Then you get to meet the dog and have the dog meet all family members (including the furry ones) to see if you think the dog is a good fit.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
Once all of the above is completed and you are approved. You will sign an adoption contract and pay a $225 adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.
We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $250.00.
If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.
Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.
We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.
We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.
We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.
We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
