Saffy — Gentle Soul, Loving and Trusting Friend, Loves Humans
Hi, I’m Saffy! I was rescued in partnership with ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA. I spent a lot of time sitting in a cage before I was lucky enough to be transferred to SF, where I could live in a foster home. As a result, I am a little shy and cautious of bigger spaces, new environments and loud sounds.
But it's abundantly clear to my foster parents right off the bat that humans are my comfort zone. As long as you're with me, giving me attention, petting me, I am very happy. I will immediately purr up a storm when you spend time with me and I'm always down to hang out. Human companionship really helps me feel safer and work up the courage to explore the bigger space.
Besides purring, I love to headbutt your hands and rub against your legs to ask for more love. I will actually stand up on my hind legs to headbutt your hands because that's how much I crave human attention. My foster parents think it's the cutest thing ever! And once I'm a bit more comfortable, I love to plop down and do a roly poly to show you my soft belly. I love a gentle belly rub, and I'll knead air biscuits for that.
A lot of things seem a bit foreign to me - churu treats, toys, cat trees, even jumping on beds. I'm still learning, but don't worry, I learn very fast, as long as you spend time with me, and I'm very gentle, even when I'm feeling unsure and wary.
I've made tremendous progress in just 2 weeks in foster, and I can't wait to continue to open up and explore all the good things in life, with you as my forever person. I am one of the most trusting, sweet, gentle kitties you'll ever meet and I'd love to go home with you and shower you with purrs!
