My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Unknown, likely yes
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Yes

Charles is a sweet, happy boy with a heart as big as his smile! He’s incredibly friendly and loves making new dog friends, always ready to greet others with a wagging tail and gentle energy. He is the kind of dog who fits right into just about any family!

Charles does great meeting new people and quickly wins hearts. He has not been around cats or kids, but he has such a gentle nature that he is very likely to get along with both. He loves playing with other dogs and makes friends quickly.

Charles is house trained, knows how to sit, and settles nicely in his crate after a few minutes. Car rides can make him a little nervous right now, but he’s learning that they aren’t all bad and improves with each ride. With a little reassurance and love, he’ll continue to gain confidence. He walks well on a leash, especially in quieter neighborhoods.

Charles is truly a loving, easygoing boy who would thrive in just about any home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and lots of love to give, Charles may be your perfect match!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
