My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Good Pups - AKA "The G's"
This trio of terrier mixes is 3 months old and all three are "generally good."

Garrison (neutered male, 9 lbs) is sensitive, he wants to be sitting quietly on his human's lap or at their feet. He responds well to redirection and will learn quickly with training. He would do well as an only dog where he gets all the attention, but plays very well with his siblings and the other dogs in his foster home (he is a good boy, and he will scolds and tattles on his siblings when they try to get into mischief). He is reactive to cats in his foster home and would do best in a home without them. He does well when crated with his siblings, and at times goes into his crate alone. He is working on potty training, and prefers to do #2 outside when he has access.

Gio (neutered male, 9 lbs) has great hair. He is a playful, confident, active little boy who will be an affectionate companion for his new family. He loves to play with his toys and kiss kiss kiss. He is fairly independent, could be an only dog, but plays well with his siblings. He barks at his foster cat but can be redirected. He does well when crated with his siblings but would need to adjust to being crated by himself. He is working on potty training, and prefers to do #2 outside when he has access.

Gayle (spayed female, 7 lbs) is playful and affectionate, she loves to snuggle and be held. Gayle doesn't suffer fools lightly (aka her brothers - typical terrier behavior) and would be fine on her own or with another respectful dog. She does well when crated She is working on potty training, and prefers to do #2 outside when she has access.

To further inquire about GARRISON, GIO, or GAYLE, submit an application.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how GARRISON, GIO, or GAYLE will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for GARRISON, GIO, or GAYLE as well as their future families.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with an online application, submitted via our website. We do not guarantee a response, but will reach out if we think that it's a good fit and then arrange for a meet and greet. We do not hold dogs for more than 48 hours for a meet and greet, and if the dog is scheduled to go to an adoption event it will not be held back. We do not transport dogs out of area. We do same-day adoptions at our meet and greet appointments and adoption events. We offer a one-week trial period to our adopters to make sure that things work out, and we encourage adopters to be familiar with the 3-3-3 rule for dogs. We also highly encourage puppy classes for our puppies, as training is very important in ensuring that dogs stay in their forever homes.

All our dogs are in private foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. To see multiple dogs, please check our website for our weekly adoption event times and locations.
