My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Fia! I'm a cute little sprite of a cat that has a squeaky, sometimes absent meow. I like to snooze in the sunniest of spots, but I am also very energetic when the mood strikes and if you encourage me! When I'm excited to see you, I can do a little hop and twirl to follow wherever you may be going.
You may notice my right eye is a little cloudy - but I'm still very perceptive with little to no impact to my vision. My vet thinks that I may have had an infection when I was younger that caused damage/cloudiness to my eye, but the impact appears to be minimal. This is not expected to change, but please make sure to keep an eye (heh) on it!
I get along well with my foster sister Fizzy Pop (who is still going through her medical journey and may not currently be adoptable), and well enough with the other kitties in my home. I try to play with them sometimes, but they aren't quite sure what to make of me.
While I am friendly, it may take me a little to warm up and be comfortable around new people in a new space. Please be patient with me, as I am so sweet and love to be pet! I have not yet been around small children or other animals.

The application is the first step in our process. Once you are approved, we can make arrangements for you to meet any of our cats or kittens. If you are not sure which one you might be interested in, we can help you narrow your search!
All our cats and kittens are fully vetted, tested, wormed and treated for fleas, spayed or neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped before adoption.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
