My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Missy
Dachshund Mix | 1.5 years old | 15 lbs | Spayed Female

Hello Buffalo — I’m Missy, your future cuddle buddy and professional lap warmer! I’m a sweet, loving long girl who’s ready to trade foster life for a forever couch (and bed… preferably yours).

Right now, I live with lots of other dogs and get along great with them! Big dogs make me a little nervous, but I absolutely adore my fellow weiner siblings. I also love the small human in my foster home who plays with me — tiny humans are my jam!

I do great in my crate at night and when my foster family goes to work. I’m also doing awesome with potty training — my only two accidents were because it’s been so cold (I’m a Texas girl, okay?! ).

Dog-friendly
Crate trained
Mostly potty trained
Sweet, cuddly, and affectionate
No cats in foster home, but based on Missy’s personality, we don’t expect issues

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a lovable little long dog, call Buddy’s and ask for Missy! (120)

More about this rescue

Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 dog rescue organization and completely foster-based in the Western New York area. We pull dogs and puppies from high-kill rescues all over the country that are on lists to be euthanized. We place them in foster homes until they find their furever homes here in WNY. Every dog that is saved opens up room for another. So in essence two dogs lives are being saved!!
