My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fred came to us from a home where the owners were elderly and not able to take care of the dogs' basic needs. There were 6 total.

He is estimated to be just under about 14-16-18 months old. He is housetrained and crate trained and great with other dogs. He is not nearly as nervous as the girls from this intake, but he did live with many other dogs and we think he would benefit from goign to a home either with another dog or a home where someone would be home a lot. He is learning to walk on the leash, but that was totally foreign to him previously, so he will need continued leash training.

Fred is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is fostered in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $450.

If you are interested in meeting him, please complete an adoption application at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt.

If you have applied with us previously, please send an email to Info@Love4PawsFL.org.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
