My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pixel is a stunning black cat with a soft, soulful presence and a heart full of quiet love. She came to us from a criminal neglect and hoarding case in Juneau County involving over 500 animals—an unimaginable situation that no animal should endure.

When Pixel arrived, she wasn’t alone. She came in with her babies and devoted herself to caring for them, even after everything she had been through. Thanks to her strength and nurturing nature, all of her kittens have since found loving homes—and now it’s finally Pixel’s turn.

Pixel is gentle, sweet, and calm, and she’s currently enjoying some well-earned rest in foster care while she waits for her perfect family. She appreciates a peaceful environment where she can relax, feel safe, and form a bond at her own pace.

If you’re looking for a kind, affectionate companion with a quiet grace and a resilient spirit, Pixel would love nothing more than a home where she can be cherished for the rest of her days. 🖤💫

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process prioritizes accessibility, equality, and inclusivity. An application can be completed online or in person, ensuring accessibility for all potential adopters. Additionally, our application is available in Spanish to cater to a diverse range of applicants.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we facilitate adoption meet-and-greets on-site at our shelter's adoption center. This allows potential adopters to interact with the animals they are interested in and make informed decisions about their adoption.

Overall, our adoption program is designed to make the process as smooth and inclusive as possible, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and permanent home.
