My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let’s play pretend! Remember when we used to play house when we were kids?

So, pretend you get to be the parent and you live in a comfortable place. And we’ll pretend that you have two little baby girls that you get to take care of – and we’ll say they’re sisters. The older “sister” is Mia, and the younger “sister” is Rosie. But they’re both just babies.

These are the kind of babies that you can talk to and coo at and hold and snuggle all day long if you want. Sometimes you can play with them or go outside, but mostly, you just get to love on the two little baby girls all the time.

Sound like a fun make-believe world? What if we told you that we can stop pretending and make this story true? You definitely can turn it into reality!

The babies are actually doggies, but they are still “sisters” named Mia and Rosie. Mia is a 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier type, and Rosie is a 3-year-old Boston Terrier. They both weigh under 20 pounds.

Both girls have wonderful temperaments and connect with people immediately, full of tail wags and even kisses if you like. They are content around the house, where they love to lay around either on people’s laps or on the comfy beds, chairs and couches. They get excited for walks and do well on the leash, and they have playful spurts together each day. But most of their time is spent appreciating their people and all the soft, warm, cozy spots.

They get along well with other dogs and with all ages of people. They have great manners and follow directions, and both are house trained.

No imagination required: Mia and Rosie can be your very own sweet baby girls! They are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and their adoption fee is $225. Both ladies will come to you current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Snuggle & loves, oops we mean meet & greets, will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
