My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

George is a lovable little guy who is looking for a family to grow with. He spent his youth in a home with many pets which has made him very cat and dog friendly. He also does well with children. Nothing seems to phase him.

George sleeps through the night in his crate and is doing well with potty training. Unfortunately due to a prior injury George struggles with stairs and long walks but he hasn't let that slow him down at all.

George loves to cuddle, watch TV, sneak snacks, and look out the window. If that sounds like your type of dog he would love a family to call his own.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
