My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a sweet and friendly yellow lab. At 8 years old she has grown out of all the craziness of young lab and is a mellow companion. Ruby has had a few human guardians over her life and she is ready for a forever home where she can be given the love and attention she deserves. Ruby likes other dogs and she would do well in a home with some canine company. While she doesn't seem to be formally leashed trained (she'll walk right off the sidewalk into the road) she does like to walk. Ruby will need people who are willing to give her the exercise she needs as she is overweight. With love, attention and patience she'll make a wonderful companion.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
