My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Lacie is with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter.

Meet Lacie — the ultimate mom friend in dog form
This sweet little Rat Terrier was dumped with her four puppies, raised them right, and watched each one find their forever home. Now it’s her turn.

Lacie has been through a lot — heartworm treatment (check âœ…), old leg injury (check âœ…), but she’s tougher than your morning coffee and faster than her limp lets on. She can even clear a 36-inch barrier when her foster mom dares to walk into another room!

She follows her person everywhere (loyalty level: stage 5 clinger ), loves other dogs, and even “plays chase” with cats like the playful aunt she is. She’s leash-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and always looks out for her furry friends.
She’s ready for her happy ending — a home where she can love, nurture, and maybe supervise your every move (just a little).

Ready to give this devoted mama the life she deserves?

Lacie is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. Her     adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
