My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member on January 25, 2026.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Sealio, a professional sweetheart with a PhD in Cozy Vibes. When you first meet him, he may be lounging comfortably on his bed, quietly taking it all in-but give him a moment and he'll let you know exactly how he feels. A soft voice earns you loud purrs, happy biscuit-making, and a full-body melt into his blankets.

Sealio is a true gentleman who loves affection. Offer him your hand and he'll roll over, press his head into your palm, and proudly present his belly like the trusting boy he is. He enjoys pets, returns them with nonstop purring, and keeps the love going with gentle kneading and relaxed, content energy.

Once the interaction ends, Sealio isn't quite ready to say goodbye-he'll come right up to the front to watch you with soft eyes, still making biscuits, still hoping for more time together. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who shows his love in the sweetest ways, Sealio is ready to steal your heart (and your lap).

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
