When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!
What we know: Owner Surrender – Española Humane. Approximately 4 years old at intake. Not good with cats. Would do best with active owners.
From the foster: Looking for your adventure buddy? Sweet Fanny is the perfect blend of calm, smart and active. At 4 years old, she’s well mannered, house trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She loves getting outside - whether that’s a neighborhood stroll, a weekend hike, or a full mountain adventure - and her athleticism makes her a natural outdoor companion.
When it’s time to relax, Fanny happily switches gears. After a day of activity, she’s perfectly content curling up for a cozy evening movie, making her an ideal balance of adventure buddy and couch companion.
Fanny is wonderful with kids and respectfully takes her cues from our four-year-old “boss of the house.” She’s patient, gentle, and happy to show off her “tricks” (sitting, laying down, or simply looking adorable) especially when treats are involved.
She’s incredibly loyal - the kind of dog who sticks close and makes you feel like her whole world. Fanny seems to prefers women, and she can have some separation anxiety. She much prefers to be asleep on a bed or couch over her crate. She gets along with our dog as well, however she would be best in a home without cats.
