My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mijo is a gentle, sweet black cat with a quiet, peaceful presence. He has a soft personality and a kind nature, and he enjoys calm companionship and gentle affection.
Mijo isn’t demanding or loud — he’s the kind of cat who settles in nearby, appreciates soft pets, and brings a soothing energy to the room. He would do beautifully in a relaxed home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who offers quiet loyalty and a tender heart, Mijo may be the perfect match.
Mijo is vaccinated, neutered, and healthy (fiv negative and felv negative)

More about this rescue

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
