My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Star is in a foster home. ***

Star #20068: solid black, long hair, spayed female, born approx. 5/1/23

Cats: good solo, co-exists with others
Dogs: unknown
Children: late elementary+

BACKGROUND: Star was born in Temecula and was taken in by a local rescuer when she was four weeks old to be bottle-raised. Though Star had found an adoptive home, her guardian recently passed away; she returned to her first rescuer’s care and when we had an opportunity to help she transferred to The Rescue House.

PERSONALITY: Star is breathtakingly beautiful with her soft black coat that looks almost mulberry-toned when she’s in a sunbeam. She is quietly affectionate cat with a gentle soul. She adores curling up in a warm lap and will happily and regularly settle in for long peaceful cuddle sessions with her favorite people. Star is also playful and curious, but she’s wonderfully respectful about it, preferring gentle play, cozy spots to snooze, and calm companionship. Her personality is serene and loving, making her an ideal companion for someone seeking an emotionally attuned cat.

COMPATIBILITY: Star has fostered with other cats and is mostly comfortable with them, though she does her own thing and stays away from rowdy play. She would good as a solo kitty. Star thrives in a peaceful home and would prefer not to live with young children, though if she is treated with care and respect we think she’d be fine with those approaching ten and up.

Star is incredibly loyal and affectionate, and she bonds deeply with those who show her kindness and provide laps for cuddletime. Will you give her the connection she craves?
