Howdy! I’m Daisy, one of six – well, seven – kittens born to my mama Jolene. I’ll be quick. Mama had one kitten, Dolly, but now she’s called Kitten. Before the people on the property in Lyle could catch them, mama was pregnant again. Then siblings and I were born. But only four of us lived. We stayed in a foster home for around three months, and now we’re big enough to be adopted. We’re all named for country songs, performers, shows, and such. My name comes from The Dukes of Hazzard’s Daisy Duke. Daisy. She said, “The only things in life you regret are the risks you didn’t take.” Heck, I love to climb and jump! I’m a busy girl who loves cat toys, everything I can get my kitty paws on – jingly balls, wand toys to chase and carry around, you name it. I love tunnels, and I use scratching posts. I like eating both wet and dry food from a cookie sheet, and like the other kittens, I like washing my paws in the water dish. We’re all good about using the litter box. I’d love to be adopted with a sibling so I can have a playmate. Love me, love me, love me! Let me be your Daisy girl!
Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Paws and Claws Humane Society (PCHS) is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization that rescues and shelters homeless cats and dogs until they can be adopted into their “forever” homes. We want our clients to understand that adopting and animal is a lifetime responsibility and commitment to that animal.
All prospective adopters must show (at the time of adoption) a valid drivers license or other acceptable identification to verify their name, address, and age. Adopters must be 18 yrs of age. Children under the age of 12 years old need to be present at time of viewing shelter cats or dogs.
After submitting an application, there is generally a processing period of 1-3 days in order to complete all pre-adoption checks and paperwork before an adopter may take possession of the animal.

Paws and Claws Humane Society is committed to partnering with the community to shelter, protect, and seek adoptive homes for abandoned or lost companion animals.
We have served Southern Minnesota for over 30 years and we are the largest shelter in the 8 surrounding counties that does not limit the length of stay for the animals in its care.
Paws & Claws is funded completely on donations and fundraising events and receives no federal, state, county or city funds. We currently have nearly 900 dues paying members.
Paws & Claws has a community fund to help pay for the spaying and neutering of companion animals for those who cannot afford it.
We give over 40 tours and presentations annually, educating the public [including over 400 children] about proper animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals to help control the pet population in Southern Minnesota.
We have over 110 families that participate in the Guardian Angel Program [sponsoring animals] each month.
Paws & Claws will take in an injured animal and get the emergency medical care that it requires.
Local veterinarians in and around Rochester help Paws & Claws by providing over 145 free spay or neuters each year.
In a typical year the shelter will facilitate adoptions and provide care for over 600 dogs and cats.
