Meet Maui! ?? Maui is a 31lb, 5 ½-month-old, Great Dane mix puppy with a heart as big as her paws. She was brought to the shelter after being found running the streets all alone, but despite her rough start, Maui’s spirit is pure sunshine. She is super friendly with everyone she meets and absolutely loves human affection. Maui is curious, sweet, and playful, though she’s still figuring out the world around her. Maui is not very into toys just yet and much prefers people and affection over playthings. Like any young Great Dane, Maui will need a home that understands she’s still a puppy and is ready to offer patience, consistency, and gentle guidance as she grows. If you’re looking for a loving, people-oriented companion and are ready to help a puppy blossom, Maui might just be your perfect match. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
