***Come see me at the YHS Crab Feed event on Saturday February 7th***
Meet Rosie Elizabeth, a one-and-a-half-year-old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing 18 pounds.
Rosie Elizabeth is a sweet, sensitive girl who came to us after her owner was no longer able to care for her due to memory issues and moving into a nursing home. She’s looking for a patient, loving home where she can feel safe, secure, and truly cared for.
Rosie gets along well with other dogs and cats, though she’s unsure about kids and new people because she hasn’t had much socialization. She can be nervous about getting into cars, but once she’s settled, she rides well. When she feels comfortable, Rosie is a total snuggle bug and loves spending quiet, cozy time with her people.
Rosie does need some guidance and attention—she can be destructive if ignored and will howl when left alone. She is not yet potty trained, so she’ll need a family ready to provide consistent TLC and training. With patience, structure, and love, Rosie has the potential to blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion.
This pet is available for adoption on 2.3.25 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.
