-This guy is a gentle soul who’s still learning what it means to be a companion dog. On leash he can pull, but he does much better with a harness and shows good potential with consistency. Inside, he likes to take his time sniffing and exploring his surroundings, checking in often before coming back for attention.
-Once he warms up, his affectionate side really shines. He happily jumped into my lap for pets, and although affection seems a bit new to him, he clearly enjoys it — his tail wagged the entire time, and if the pets stopped, he made sure to ask for more.
-He’s curious about toys but hasn’t quite figured them out yet, and he’s very food motivated, taking treats gently. He doesn’t know basic cues like “sit” yet, but that just means he’s a blank slate ready to learn. With time on the floor and a calm presence, he slowly relaxed, leaned in close, and eventually melted into belly rubs, kisses, and full-body relaxation — a big milestone for him.
-This boy will thrive in a patient, loving home that gives him the time and reassurance he needs to understand the world and his people. Once he does, you’ll be rewarded with a deeply affectionate and devoted companion.
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

•Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
•There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
•To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
