My name is Leif!

Hi! My name is Leif, and I am a 6-week-old male Husky mix with a tender heart and a love for all things cozy. My siblings, my mom, and I were found dumped at an abandoned house when I was only about 2½ weeks old — right before the winter freeze. Thankfully, the rescue stepped in just in time to bring us somewhere safe and warm, giving us the chance to grow into happy, healthy puppies.

I can be a little shy at first, but underneath that bashful exterior is an incredibly sweet boy who absolutely adores being snuggled. Once I feel comfortable, I melt right into your arms and could happily stay there soaking up affection for as long as you’ll let me. I just need a loving family who will give me a little patience and reassurance while I learn that the world is a safe place.

Since I’m still very young, I haven’t completed all of my vetting yet. I will be eligible to head to a foster-to-adopt home starting February 13, 2026. Foster to adopt means you get to bring me home and care for me while the rescue takes care of all my remaining vetting. Once everything is complete, you’ll be able to officially finalize my adoption!
