Hey yo! The name’s Vincent, Vinny no Teefs to my friends. My records say I’m about three years old, so that’s my story and I’m sticking to it because I’m a dog and I have no concept of time. I came to the shelter as a stray in February of 2025 a bit of a hot mess. My fur was patchy, I was skinny, I had tummy issues, I am heartworm positive, and my front teeth are ground down to my gums (hence the nickname).
It took 10 months, but the really nice shelter volunteers got me sprung from the joint and into a foster home where I can really live it up! My foster parents think I must have lived with people before because I’ve never had an accident in the house, I go in my crate with no problem, and I found my designated spot on the couch pretty fast. I’m a bit timid at first, but warm up once I know I can trust a human. I love to be with my foster humans and their resident dogs, so I think it would be best to have a forever home with people around and other dogs to be with. I’ve never met cats, but I’m not big into chasing squirrels or other critters in the yard, so with proper introductions I could probably learn to get along. I love to play with toys, get snacks, and cuddle on the couch and in bed. I’m also learning to love car rides. Have I mentioned that I love food? You can say I’m a fan. A BIG one. Of all the food. If you have it, I’ll try it. This has gotten me into trouble with the small human, but I’m learning!
I’m currently getting treatment for those nasty heartworms and with some good food my tummy and skin issues seem to have been resolved. The vet says my lack of teeth isn’t anything to worry about either. I’d love to meet you and give some gummy kisses and hugs!
