Vinny is a 4-year-old German Shepherd with the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm. He loves to run, play, and burn off energy, especially in the snow, which is truly his happy place. Whether he’s burning energy outside or playing with his favorite toys, Vinny knows how to keep things fun.
Despite being a big guy, Vinny is a total gentle giant. When playtime is over, he’s more than happy to relax, kick back, and watch TV with his people. He is house trained and eager to please, though he would benefit from continued work on basic manners and training.
Vinny is an affectionate loving dog who just needs the right home, someone willing to invest time, patience, and love. In return, he’ll be a wonderful addition to a family ready to help him shine. See Facebook for Vinny's video

Additional adoption info
GSGSR foster dogs are rescued from shelters and pounds in New Jersey where most were facing euthanasia or through our owner referral or surrender program.
They are fully vetted, brought up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. They live with our volunteers in a foster home so we can evaluate them before they are offered for adoption. This allows us time to get to know the shepherd so that we can make the best match with their new home.
Our adoption process includes and filling out an adoption application form on our website at www.gsgsr.org. We require 3 references as well as a vet reference if you have an animal. We conduct a phone interview and home visit and then match up the best available dog that matches the applicant's needs.
