Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malik is the kind of cat who makes himself at home wherever he goes. Super friendly, social, and always ready for attention, he absolutely loves being pet and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. Whether you’re settling in for a quiet evening or moving about your day, Malik is likely to be right there with you, ready for some head scratches and companionship.
Malik is also compatible with his brothers, McCoy and Matias. While he doesn’t need to be adopted with them, he would do well in a home with another friendly feline and already knows how to share his space and affection.
If you’re looking for a sweet, outgoing kitty who will greet you with warmth and charm every day, Malik might just be your perfect match. 💛
All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
