Hi! I’m Kairo!!!!! I’m a big, bouncy, high-energy guy with a curious brain and a goofy heart. If there’s something happening, I want to be right there in the middle of it. Laundry? Let me help. Cooking? I’ll supervise. Walking out the door? I’m already pulling you toward the adventure! I’ve been described (lovingly!) as a bit of a bull in a china shop. I don’t always realize how strong or enthusiastic I am, especially on leash—so I’m looking for a human who’s ready to help me learn some basic manners and self-control. Training sounds like fun to me, especially if snacks are involved. Curiosity is kind of my thing. I explore the world with my whole body… and sometimes my mouth. I once swallowed a toy, so I’ll need a home that keeps a close eye on my inquisitive tendencies and helps me make good choices. Supervision and structure will help me shine. What I can promise? Endless enthusiasm, silly moments, and a dog who truly wants to be included in everything you do. The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
