My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Buddy is a very sweet beautiful boy, who is in need of a foster home and an adoptive home. Buddy is approximately 3.5 years old. We are guessing Buddy's weight between 85-90 lbs. He is overweight and we will help him lose the weight he needs to lose for better health. Buddy has lived a pretty confined life with a person who due to health reasons, can no longer care for him.

Buddy is a young guy with plenty of energy that he needs to express, burn off, so we are looking for a home that understands and appreciates active dog breeds and can help fulfill his needs, dreams and desires! :)

Buddy is definitely an "adventure Buddy" and is ready to go, for walks, to dog parks, and on adventures.

He is used to being crated when caretaker is gone, but would love a home where he doesn't have to be crated much, and gets the exercise he needs.

Buddy is a little sloppy with manners, mostly due to his exuberance and too much confinement. He will jump or just get excited when he wants to grab a treat out of your hand.

With a little bit of dedicated time Buddy will learn quickly - he just needs  rules set and expectations reinforced.

Buddy is good with other dogs, and seems like would be good with cats, but gets excited to greet them, so they tend to run away.

Buddy is too exuberant for a home with small children, but older children may be OK. He is very loving and excited about life. He needs to catch up on lost time for fun, adventure, action and play.

If you would like to learn more about Buddy, please submit an interest form on our website:    https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
