Clara is a 2–3 year old Shepherd mix with a heart as beautiful as her story. She was found in Cleveland, TX — sadly known as a dumping ground for dogs — where she was struggling to survive while caring for her seven tiny babies.
Clara and her puppies were taken to the local shelter, where they became very sick. Thankfully, they made their way into our rescue and into a loving foster home, where they received the medical care and TLC they desperately needed. Clara proved to be an incredible, devoted mama, and after making an amazing recovery, all seven of her babies have headed to a partner rescue in Pennsylvania to find their forever homes.
Now it’s Clara’s turn.
At about 35 lbs, Clara is the perfect medium size. She is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in the car (and is continuing to gain confidence with trips!). She does great at the vet, gets along well with other dogs, and is tolerant of cats. Clara loves her toys.
Most of all, Clara is incredibly sweet and loves everyone she meets. She is the kind of loyal, loving companion who will happily be by your side through life’s adventures or cozy nights at home.
After everything she has done for her puppies, Clara is more than ready to be someone’s baby now. ❤️

Our foster dogs/pups are all in foster homes and can be met by appointment. We also will have regular adoption events at PetSmart and Pet Supply Plus stores.
