My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Cobalt!
I’m a super chill, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who just wants to enjoy life and soak up attention. My journey hasn’t been the easiest—I was brought up from a rescue that was desperately searching for placement, and before coming to the shelter and into foster care, I lived in a kennel with my brother for months. Because of that, home life took me a few days to figure out, but once I understood the routine, I settled in quickly and showed everyone what a good boy I am. My foster has been working with me on house manners, including marking, using a belly band and positive reinforcement, and I’ve been making steady progress as I adjust to life in a home.

I love other dogs, people, and kids, and I’m very eager to please. I enjoy playing with my dog friends, flopping onto my back for belly rubs, and soaking up any attention you’ll give me. I’m medium energy—I like having space to run and play, but I’m just as happy relaxing, being pet, and catching up on sleep. I can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but it’s gentle and fades quickly. I’m ready to leave my kennel days behind and finally enjoy being part of a family who will give me patience, consistency, and lots of love.
