My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Clyde!
I’ve been told I have golden, soulful eyes and a magnetic charm—and once you meet me, I think you’ll understand why. I’m a sweet, affectionate guy who truly loves his people and is always eager to please. My journey hasn’t been easy: I was brought up from a rescue that was desperately searching for placement, and before coming to the shelter and into foster care, I lived in a kennel with my brother for months. Because of that, home life is still a little new to me—but I’m learning more every day. My foster has been working closely with me on house manners, including marking, using a belly band and positive reinforcement, and I’ve already made steady improvement as I’ve settled in.

I’m medium energy and love playing with my dog friends, especially tossing rope toys in the air and getting the zoomies. I’m very treat-motivated, enjoy affection, and do well relaxing and napping in my crate. I’m also learning not to jump up when I get excited for love and continuing to build good habits inside the home. With patience, guidance, and consistency, I just keep blooming more and more. At my core, I’m a gentle, loving soul who’s ready to leave my kennel days behind and finally enjoy being someone’s cherished companion and best friend.
