My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dijon!

All Dijon wants is the simple gift of love, safety, and a family to call her own. Despite her rough start, she remains incredibly sweet, loyal, and full of affection for everyone she meets.

She’s 3 yr old spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations — ready to start her next chapter today.

Dijon has been waiting patiently for that special someone who will see her worth and give her the forever home she so deeply deserves. Could that someone be you? ❤️

More about this rescue

Welcome to Murray County Humane Society!

Murray County Humane Society is a 100% volunteer-run, GA-licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue based in rural North Georgia. Our mission is to provide second chances to animals in need by assisting with owner surrenders and rescuing shelter pets that might otherwise face euthanasia.

Every animal in our care receives essential veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services before being matched with a loving, qualified family. Through compassion, dedication, and community support, we work to give each animal the opportunity to live a safe and happy life.
