My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eve!

Eve came into our care as a stray after spending several months around a construction site. A kind community member noticed her struggling, began keeping an eye on her, and was eventually able to safely bring her to us. When Eve first arrived, she was scared, hungry, and unsure of people, likely having had very few positive human experiences in her past.

With time, patience, and gentle care, Eve has been making steady progress. She is still a sensitive girl and can become overstimulated, especially with prolonged or intense petting, so she does best with gentle interactions and learning her boundaries. As she continues to feel safe, her sweet and quiet personality shines through more each day.

Eve would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands she may need extra time and space to settle in. Starting her off in a smaller, quiet room will help her adjust gradually and avoid becoming overwhelmed by new sights and sounds. With adopters willing to go at her pace, Eve has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Walk-ins are prioritized.

We are open to walk in's Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
