Cheetara, born approximately 3/18/25, is a very friendly, social, high-energy kitty that requires another kitty in the home. She had some health issues as a kitten which resulted in her growth being stunted. However, she may be small but her attitude is mighty and she holds her own with kitties much bigger than her. She makes friends with all humans she has met so far and sleeps on laps as well as cuddles in bed at night, including on your pillow and in your face. If you are looking for two kitties, Cheetara and her brother Lion-O are a good pair. Their personalities complement each other very well.
Cheetara and her siblings had bad cases of upper respiratory infection (URI) when they were rescued. Cheetara continues to have watery eyes which are maintained by wiping with a tissue or cloth. Per the vet, it may be chronic since they have had URI infections and flare ups since a young age and maintenance may be needed long term with immune support or until their immune systems are stronger. In addition, Cheetara had Giardia which took multiple treatments to resolve. The giardia is believed to be the cause of low nutrition absorption growth. It is also believed to be the underlying cause of irregular lab work which has improved over time.
Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays from noon to 4pm.

Our kitties are FeLV tested (negative), spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. However, since the majority of our kitties are rescued from local high-kill shelters or 'from the streets', their backgrounds are unknown and we cannot guarantee the temperament or any unforeseen health problems that may arise with rescued animals. Our kitties are housed in foster homes in Sacramento County, California. Potential adopters are selected through an adoption screening process. There is a nominal adoption fee that goes towards the care of the kitties.
